Hiker goes missing for days and joins back during press brief

An 80-year-old man who went on hiking with his family members went on missing for as long as three days and the family was really worried where it deployed around 100+ searches to find him. But, to the act of God, he was found on the day when the family had organized a press conference to urge people to find and rescue him as soon as possible.

According to the sources, a video of the same has also been posted on Facebook where the rescue officers are seen bringing him to the party. The moment captured is solely emotional for the whole family as they were completely shocked and overwhelmed to find their family member back after 3 days of the rigorous search operation.

As per the man, he was caught up in a heavy hail storm and got separated from his family and then tried to shift somewhere where he could find warmth and be safe. “Where we got separated was absolutely desolate, there was no chance of putting a tent up, that’s for sure. So I had to find somewhere safe. That’s what I did. I used my whistle, the distress call, but to no avail,” he said.

One of the media outlets also spoke to the local inspector where he said, “This is fantastic news that Harry has been found safe and well. I want to thank all the search volunteers for their time, as well as Gamekeepers, estate owners, farmers, and local residents for their help and understanding. Thanks also to Tan Hill, who looked after the volunteers and Mr. Harvey’s family.”

His son also spoke to one of the news outlets and claimed that the family was more than relieved and said, “We know he’s experienced, but not three days — that’s taking it a little bit to the extreme.”
