Passenger appears to intentionally cough on people in plane

Well, coughing used to be a very normal affair before but, now it is enough to give chills to a person. The coronavirus pandemic has impacted everyone’s life and when a person coughs, the other maintains a complete social distance and it has turned out to be the new normal. In a recent incident, a passenger of Easyjet flight created a fuss when she was asked to wear a mask. It was also reported that she intentionally tried to cough on co-passengers and claimed that everyone’s gonna die on the plane.

According to the sources, the flight was moving from Ireland to Scotland and a spokesperson for Easyjet also confirmed the same news. The spokesperson said, “Police attended flight EZY481 from Belfast to Edinburgh on October 18th due to a passenger behaving disruptively on board and refusing to wear their face covering. In line with EASA (European Union Aviation Safety Agency) guidelines, all passengers are currently required to bring their own face covering for their flight which must be worn during boarding and onboard, except when eating or drinking. Passengers receive clear communications before they travel and via announcements onboard to ensure they are aware of this requirement for the health and safety of everyone on board. We will not tolerate disruptive behavior towards other passengers and crew.”

Meanwhile, co-passengers were contacted by a news media which said that the employee did nothing wrong to make the passenger turn furious (as they just asked the passenger to put on the mask).

Well, the passenger is arrested now and an investigation is underway for the same. A spokesperson for the airport said, “Airport Police were called by ground staff due to a disruptive passenger within the terminal building at approx 16:35 on Sunday 18th October. The passenger was subsequently arrested and is currently under investigation.”
