Since the pandemic has not ended, many airlines have taken the flight to nowhere option to give the passengers a thrill of the travel that they’ve missed for so many months. Perhaps, Singapore Airlines had other plans and turned the airbus into a restaurant for grounded dining. Its grounded Airbus A380 allows passengers to enjoy their meal at the Singapore Changi Airport.
The concept has been liked by many customers and a lot of them came to enjoy the meal inside a jet. The cuisine has all kinds of international food items to be tasted and the airline is proud to host anyone who’s been missing plane and want to dine out due to quarantine and lockdown rules.
Lee Lik Hsin, Singapore Airlines’ executive vice president also commented on the new concept and said, “We are grateful for the extremely strong support from our customers, and we look forward to welcoming them to Restaurant A380 @Changi. We will also take a very close look at the waitlist, and see how we could potentially accommodate some of those who are still interested in this unique dining experience.”
Prior to the release of the newly discovered restaurant, the airline had also rolled out a press release that read, “These experiences offer something for everyone — from frequent flyers who miss our world-class in-cabin products and service, to couples and families who want an exclusive dining experience, and parents who are after an enjoyable activity-filled day with their children during the school holidays.”
